Mission

Over the past century, civilized societies in both Georgia and the world have undergone a period of diverse development and transformation. While humans have previously struggled with nature to gain knowledge and improve their welfare, the present-day calls for a program of responsible partnership with the environment. In contrast to the analytical, systematic, and nominal knowledge-based learning process, integrative and holistic approaches are important nowadays. Beyond the accumulation of factual knowledge, the focus is on formation of thinking and creative skills, reducing the gap between theory and practice.

If in the past the social competence of a person was conditioned by external, social or ideological order, the upbringing of ethical and general human values is important for modern man with respect for individual freedom and authenticity. Since the second half of the last century, under conditions of active urbanization, the younger generation has gradually lost its connection with living nature, lacking the experience of elementary touch with handicrafts and artisanship. While part of the rural population is still looking for industrial centers in search of employment, there is already a growing awareness among city dwellers and a desire to find alternative ways of development.
Keeping above said in mind, the task which the Saguramo school takes on, consists of raising a modern human being, educating students about mankind's cultural and scientific achievements, deepening their creative and thinking skills, enhancing their environmental and social responsibility, assisting in development of young people's physical and mental health.

For these purposes, Saguramo School considers:

  • Learning with interest.

  • Making your own discoveries, creative process in all subjects.

  • Individual approach and consideration of age characteristics.

  • Promoting vision integrity and connections between subjects.

  • Time spent at school as a valuable part of life.

  • The importance of example and the development of social competence.

  • Physical and mental health.

  • Connection with living nature, healthy eating.

  • Development and cultivation of free will.

  • Acquiring a variety of practical skills in a multi-faced environment.

  • Familiarizing and enhancing one’s capabilities.

  • Promoting the right choice of profession.
